About the event
We will learn all of the basic obedience commands. Sit, Down, Leave it, Come when called, Stay, and Heel. We will focus heavily on good "house manners" such as no jump (dogs jumping on you or guests), chewing and distruction, running away, food theft, play biting and more!
This class is for dogs over 6 months and I have had dogs as old as 9 years in this class that did fantastic! You CAN teach an old dog new tricks! It is ideal for adopted dogs that you wish to establish a bond with or dogs that have had little or no training.
Masks are reqiured inside the building but we will try to meet outside as much as possible. Social distancing will be observed. I am limiting class sizes to 5 dogs and asking that for now, we limit two people per dog attend the class. As hard as it is, I am also asking that people try an NOT pet other peoples dogs or allow them to lick others. The dogs are fine with each other.
This pandemic has done a number on dogs and their inate social skills. Many are complaining of dogs showing signs of separation anxiety, noise phobias, lack of confidence and other behaviors. This class is a great way to develop your dogs social well being in a safe and controlled environment.
The class is 6 weeks long and each session is 1 hour. Classes are no refundable and transferable if okayed by me. Although I do try and accomodate missed classes, it is not gauranteed. You are allowed 2 make up sessions which do not last a full hour but cover what you need.
Sign up early to reserve your spot in class! Remember there are only 5 dogs allowed in each class.
